When an organization is fueled by the desire to help its community succeed, there are endless possibilities and great triumphs. The Mary E. Wilson Foundation has experienced both first hand as a driving force in the quest to improve the lives of North Carolina families through education, training, and other supportive services.
The Mary E. Wilson Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Since we were founded in 1998, our mission has been to empower families and strengthen communities. Our first programs provided computer training to teens. We soon expanded our services to educate parents on the latest computer technology and provide households with personal computers.
Today, we operate projects that impact academic outcomes, health disparities and financial literacy. Our programs have directly benefited hundreds of North Carolina families and include:
- 21st Century Community Learning after school program
- End-of-Grade Test Preparation Seminar
- USDA Summer Food Supplement Program
- SPOTLIGHT Performing Arts Camp
While we operate a variety of successful programs, MEWF actively pursues ways to assist even more children and adults. We look forward to sharing our new endeavors and hope you will visit our Web site again soon. |
