About Us
The Mary E. Wilson Foundation (MEWF) was established in 1998 and enjoys serving the families and communities of North Carolina. MEWF was granted non-profit, 501(c) (3), status by the IRS in March of 2000. We have built a strong reputation and continue to gain the respect of individuals, organizations and local government.

MEWF was named in honor of the Mary Elizabeth Rogers Wilson , who lived in Apex, North Carolina. Ms. Wilson saw the value of education and prayed for a better life for children. She spent her lifetime providing love, nurturing and support for anyone who had a need. All who knew her personally experienced

enrichment and growth through her giving and caring. They learned first-hand, the value of true integrity. The Mary E. Wilson Foundation continues to fulfill her dreams and raise awareness and funds that will provide the important tools and resources for those in need.

In 1998, MEWF started with one vision and one goal; giving computer access to children and families that could not afford it. This was achieved by upgrading used computers that were donated by local businesses and individuals. We then gave them to families that could not afford a computer. The community response was great. Programs we’ve developed since that time, have bridged economical, social and educational gaps. Through partnerships and collaborative efforts, MEWF provides opportunities, such as: Adult Computer Job Skills Training, After School and Summer Programs for Children, Computer Technology Centers, Technical Support for Faith Based and Community Based Organizations.
